This stage of the St Aloysius masterplan 2 is the largest and will see the transformation of teaching and learning spaces on the Upper Pitt Street Campus. The project sees the creation of a new engaging teaching and learning precinct and major refreshment of classrooms, school hall and The Boys’ Chapel.
There will be an upgrade to the central courtyard to create a central hub reinforcing the sense of community in the College. The central hub will provide opportunities for study and recreation, improved collaborative spaces and better outdoor environments for staff and students.
Activation of the new rooftop as a recreational area will provide the campus much needed outdoor space.
2.4m hoardings have been installed throughout the school as separation from the students. We have installed windows at a number of locations to provide visibility to the students to allow ongoing interaction.
Demolition was completed by 27/01/2023 which allowed for the first week of school to be less interrupted by heavy mechanical demolition works.
