Overview
Changes for the better
The redevelopment of the main campus has now been successfully completed, delivering a new library, canteen, back of house facilities, offices, general learning areas, meeting rooms, staff spaces, and a landscaped rooftop terrace. The works involved the refurbishment, extension, and alteration of existing structures and were delivered across two Separable Portions.
As the largest stage of the St Aloysius Masterplan 2, this project has transformed the teaching and learning environments on the Upper Pitt Street Campus. It has created an engaging new precinct that revitalises the campus experience through upgraded classrooms, a refreshed school hall, and an enhanced Boys’ Chapel.
The central courtyard has also been completely renewed, establishing a vibrant hub that strengthens the sense of community across the College. This new outdoor heart of the campus provides improved opportunities for collaboration, quiet study, recreation, and staff–student interaction within a significantly upgraded landscape setting.
The activation of the rooftop as a dedicated recreational area now offers much needed outdoor space, further enriching daily campus life.
