Lipman is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the contract for Wesley Mission’s $11.7 million upgrade of the iconic Wesley Edward Eagar Centre in Surry Hills, providing essential crisis accommodation for people experiencing homelessness.
The upgrade, which is anticipated to take approximately 10 months, will substantially improve privacy, security and care available to residents.
The project team has already hit the ground and has almost completed the demolition and stripping out, the team will soon commence construction of a new lift shaft, major services upgrade, heritage façade restoration, alterations to the ground and first floors to incorporate additional offices, commercial kitchen, a café, multi-function rooms, and the complete refurbishment of the residential accommodation rooms on the upper levels.
Lipman is excited to work with Wesley Mission and EPM Projects to ensure the future of innovative support for some of Sydney’s most vulnerable women and men.
