Lipman have been awarded the contract to build the new Dubbo Western Cancer Centre at Dubbo Hospital.
The Centre will provide critical services and care to patients and families, much closer to home, and house a PET diagnostic scanner and 16 chemotherapy treatment spaces as well as a number of other facilities.
The NSW Government is delivering the new $35 million Western Cancer Centre which includes a $25 million contribution for the Federal Government.
This win was secured by a comprehensive submission, underpinned by our existing knowledge of the site (having successfully delivered the Renal Facility at Dubbo Hospital), our experience in delivering similar projects (Shoalhaven Regional Cancer Care Centre) and our physical presence and commitment to the region.
The scope of work includes the development of the Principals design and the construction of:
- Enabling works which includes car parking / civil works and kitchen loading dock modifications including associated services modifications
- The demolition of the existing ‘Old Theatre Building’ and construction of the new Cancer Centre incorporating:
- A PET CT Scanner for cancer diagnostics,
- A bunker for radiation therapy
- 16 chemotherapy treatment spaces;
- A wellness space for support services; and
- Master planning for a second bunker to future proof the facility
We’d like to thank our client, the NSW Government for giving us the opportunity to be involved in this very important project for the region. We can’t wait to get started!
