55 hectare parkland
The Plough and Harrow Precinct is a 55 hectare parkland comprising pavillions, ponds, viewing platforms, playgrounds, refreshment building and 30 picnic shelters. A boardwalk winds throughout the park linking numerous picnic areas and ponds.
This project won the MBA Excellence in Construction Award for a Sporting Facility – $5,000,001 to $10,000,000 in 2005. Judges’ comments about this project were: “This was an unusual project which required the works to be carried out over a large spread-out site, parts of which were located within an Aboriginal Heritage Area”.
