Overview
Safe and secure homes for the community
Lipman is contributing to the NSW Government Flood Recovery Project at the site locations of Southern Cross University Lismore Campus, Evans Head, Coraki, plus two sites at Brunswick Heads.
This project provides 200+ temporary modular homes (also called pods) of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms in size and caravans at the Evans Head site. Each site is completed in as little as 12 weeks in a fast-paced program. These ‘pod’ villages are supplemented by supporting infrastructure and amenities.
Once site establishment work and the connection of utilities are complete, each site will be handed over to a community housing provider, who will allocate and manage the ‘pod’ communities.
Extra services are being provided, including a security presence and support workers and case workers to assist the tenants in recovering.
