Equestrian Competition
The Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC) was constructed to provide all the facilities for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Equestrian competition.
The facility is located on 200 hectares of regional parkland and contains administration and amenities buildings, site services infrastructure, roads, stables to cater for 260 horses, 100 hectares of landscaping and irrigation, 9 water quality detention ponds, 18 competition and training arenas, including an indoor arena and the main arena which will accommodate 20,000 spectators during Olympic competition.
