We have recently finished construction on the new Port Macquarie Observatory.
This project involved demolishing an existing 55-year-old brick building and progressing to the design, development, and construction of a new Centre for Astronomy.
The project includes an auditorium, a science exhibition area with both static and tactile displays, workshops, meeting rooms, a 16-inch telescope, and a 6.9-meter-wide dome.
This new facility is not just a building but a beacon of knowledge that will bring astronomy and science to the local and tourist communities. It will offer a diverse program of events and facilities catering to all ages and levels of interest in astronomy and science, and we are proud to be a part of this journey.
Lipman enjoys working regionally, and it’s a thrill to deliver much-needed facilities to the area.
