Rob is an experienced construction leader with over 31 years of experience. He focuses on developing and nurturing Lipman’s capabilities in innovation and collaboration to deliver the most complex projects.

He has overall responsibility and accountability for the corporate governance and hands-on oversight of all Lipman’s projects.

Under Rob’s leadership, Lipman has an industry-leading capability in providing creative and innovative solutions. Lipman is able to add considerable value to its projects because of his leadership and development of an experienced team of design managers, service managers and project managers.

Rob’s other key focuses are building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry partners; and ensuring that Lipman project teams are responsive to the needs and requirements of clients.

Rob’s strategic understanding ensures our organisational expertise and experience are allocated appropriately to projects to optimise opportunities for innovation and value-adding for clients.

He also strongly maintains the Lipman ethos and culture built around doing what we say we will do, in a co-operative, creative and caring environment in which he develops our people to reach their full potential.

With over 40 years in all facets of the building and construction industries, Brendan brings to Lipman a knowledge base built on experience.

Brendan has a diverse background of many different “hardhats”, from starting as a Civil Engineer to Project Director, and currently serves as an Independent Consultant.

Brendan joins Lipman with a range of experiences from both the client-side and construction team, working on key projects for Sydney such as the Lane Cove tunnel, NBN rollout, WestConnex and  Northern Beaches Hospital projects.

Brendan’s ability to assemble, lead and motivate high performing teams has been demonstrated on a number of projects and his personal value system based on honesty, teamwork, accountability, and due recognition makes him ideally suited to this role with Lipman.

Brendan’s ability to provide clear strategy, communicate, develop people and provide governance fits in very well within the values of Lipman.

Paul has over 30 years of experience in construction. He provides leadership in project development, constructing and managing the portfolio of projects and managing the business units in delivering Lipman’s objectives. Paul makes sure that all new projects are viable, with resources appropriately allocated and all organisational stakeholders are involved to ensure quality delivery. He has a background in supervising and managing commercial construction projects in the education, commercial, industrial, residential and health care sectors. In addition, he has expertise in structures, materials handling and resolving buildability issues.

Paul has been a key driver in developing and maintaining our strong culture, people, and robust systems. He ensures we deliver on our commitments to our clients. Paul has excellent communication skills that have contributed to his customer and stakeholder liaison and project and program management success. His team-building and leadership skills have ensured that the work program is delivered on schedule, to budget and with satisfied clients.

Peter has over 25 years of construction industry experience. Peter provides clear and decisive leadership and strategic planning and analysis to both our finance and commercial teams. He is passionate about attracting bright, enthusiastic staff who are committed to a team-based, co-operative culture and developing them to meet their potential. In doing so, Peter has created depth, and a genuine understanding and a broad range of experience within the organisation.

Peter’s razor-sharp mind, strong industry network, and strategic approach to risk identification and mitigation, using best practice systems and processes, makes him a key to the Group’s ongoing success.

Jeremy joined Lipman in 2018, coming from the role of General Manager, Operations with a second tier competitor, to accept a role within our Group as Commercial Manager.

Jeremy has a proven track record of developing and implementing improved internal company systems to streamline the effectiveness of existing processes. He provides authentic mentoring, training, support and management throughout the project lifecycle to our teams, to deliver high-quality business outcomes amidst demanding and competing priorities.

Jeremy has excellent stakeholder relationship-building and management skills, along with an even-handed and efficient style of negotiation that is well-aligned with the Lipman culture.

Scott is a proven construction professional with over 10 years of industry experience in the management of construction projects. With his roots in consulting engineering, Scott has a sound and varied knowledge from inception to delivery across the full spectrum of the industry.

Scott’s experience with innovative design solutions puts him in a unique position to effect positive change and to work with clients from the very to start to help deliver their vision.

Scott was appointed as Lipman’s Business Development Manager in 2020 on the strength of his success in building strong client relations through his exceptional communication, problem-solving and people management skills.

Michael joined Lipman in 2015 as a Senior Estimator, bringing to the Group his broad range of experience across all industry sectors in all major forms of procurement. Michael’s clarity of thinking and communicating, coupled with his integrity, quickly led to Michael being acknowledged as a Senior leader that directed many of our most important and challenging ECI undertakings, which ultimately gave rise to “best for project outcomes” for many of our highly valued, repeat Clients.

Michael epitomises the commitments of our Group, with his integrity, commitment, creativity and drive to exceed expectations. His peers respect him as someone who does what he commits to doing, and Michael is a strong leader within the organisation.

Andrew is a qualified chartered accountant with 12 years’ experience in Australia and internationally. He joins Lipman with a deep understanding of construction business operations and strategies. His strengths lie in analysing financial data within the broader context of the company’s goals and objectives, thereby helping the company to make informed decisions to achieve financial targets.

Andrew’s close attention to detail ensures that financial records are complete, accurate and compliant with the appropriate regulations. Andrew continuously explores and embraces better ways to present and analyse our financial information.

With over 23 years of business management and improvement systems development, implementation and maintenance experience within the Manufacturing, Servicing, Construction, and Operations & Maintenance industries, Turker has an extensive history of implementing and monitoring Integrated Systems across a range of business units. This experience enables Turker to develop a thorough appreciation of each project’s unique requirements, working with the project team to establish Lipman’s Project Plan to reflect the specific WHS, Environmental and Quality outcomes.

Turker’s attention to detail ensures that each Lipman project team has the support they need to successfully meet and exceed their client’s WHS, Environmental and Quality expectations.

Phil joined Lipman in January 2016, bringing with him a passion for design, a first-hand appreciation of buildable solutions and a drive to deliver exemplary buildings. Since then, Phil has positioned himself within the Lipman team and the broader industry as a progressive thinker, highly collaborative by nature and committed to delivering best for project outcomes.

Phil believes mass timber has an important place in the future of our industry. He was instrumental in delivering the acclaimed Macquarie University Incubator, and he has travelled extensively to ensure Lipman is at the frontier of this emerging construction technology. Phil has strong relationships with mass timber suppliers throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA. In May 2019, Phil was promoted into his current role to lead a growing functional team through a time of significant change for the construction industry. He is driving new levels of manufactured content into buildings delivered by the Group, further consolidating our leadership in innovation, quality and value.

Phil brings a strategic approach to the management of design. He is focused on bringing the best from design teams to ensure timely design finalisation, considered value management and quality outcomes that all stakeholders can be proud of.

With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, George brings a depth of knowledge and leadership that will be invaluable to our team. His career includes key roles across operational, delivery, and precontract phases, with significant contributions at St Hilliers, Bouygues, and CPB.

George’s expertise spans a broad range of sectors including Commercial, Defence, Data Centres, Industrial, and Health. He’s widely respected for his commitment to collaborative contracting and has built a strong network across the Sydney market, forming trusted relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors throughout his career.

We’re proud to have George on board and look forward to the positive impact he’ll make at Lipman.

Andrew joined Lipman as a cadet in 2006 and gained experience working on a variety of projects. On the weight of an impressive track record in programming and dealing effectively with contractors and clients while working in large complex live environments, Andrew was promoted to a Project Management role in 2011. His natural affinity with people and his proactive approach are a formidable combination. Clients and colleagues alike respond well to Andrew’s spirit of co-operation and his determination to find innovative solutions to the inevitable challenges. As a result, Andrew was promoted to by Lipman’s Regional Construction Manager in 2016. He is particularly well suited to that role as he has a strong connection with the Western Region having grown up in Bathurst, and having moved his young family to there permanently.

Since becoming Regional Construction Manager, Andrew overseen Lipman’s expansion in the Western Region, and led the team to further success, recently winning two significant contracts and receiving MBA Awards for Molong Multipurpose Services facility, Opal Bathurst Retirement Village, and being named 2019 Commercial Builder of the Year, Western Region.

Darren joined Lipman in 2014 as our Mid North Coast Regional Manager. A local all his life, he knows the region through and through. With a background in Construction and Design Management, Darren has extensive experience on medium and large-scale commercial projects, as well as residential, civil, and industrial projects up to $100m+. He also has extensive experience in a wide range of civil and water infrastructure projects.

Coupled with a natural flair for team and stakeholder management Darren has led our Mid North Coast team to complete a number of significant projects for the region, including the $80m Coffs Harbour Cultural & Civic Space and the Coffs Central Shopping Centre, which won a 2019 MBA Award for Excellence in Construction.

As part of our strategic expansion, we were delighted to welcome Andrew Thackray to the Lipman team as Regional Manager. Andrew is a highly regarded construction professional with over 32 years experience in the industry. Importantly, Andrew has resided and worked on the Central Coast for over 20 years and is passionate about the local area. Lipman targeted Andrew because of his reputation in the industry, his management experience within major commercial building companies and his knowledge of the local construction market.

Supporting Andrew is an established team, consisting of long-serving Lipman employees (both management and project-based roles) who reside in the region. In combination, the team represents a strong example of our structured approach to regional expansion and is a complementary addition to our established network across NSW.

Alex joined Lipman in 2018. He has been involved in workplace health and safety for more than 13 years in the construction sector and has gained valuable experience developing and implementing programs to improve compliance outcomes.

He is highly experienced in implementing Lipman’s safety procedures; general site safety; maintaining safety records; reviewing subcontractors’ safety procedures; liaising with safety manager for system improvement; subcontract management; short-range programming; materials handling planning; site personnel management: and monitoring and planning for the interaction of the public with the site activities.

He is a versatile problem-solver with a genuine interest in implementing and maintaining best practices with health and safety standards. He has extensive experience with investigating and completing corrective actions for event (incident) closeout.

Alex has a thorough understanding of WHS legislation and the ability to apply this knowledge on site. He has strong problem-solving skills and his record-keeping and administration are strong. He has the ability to make quick decisions and to stand his ground on them. He is adept at communicating and enforcing a positive safety culture.

Tim has over 19 years of experience in professional services and joined the Lipman Group as our General Manager for our Northern Rivers Regional commercial builder, Bennett Constructions.

Tim is a dynamic, energetic person taking pleasure in driving change and securing success by establishing and implementing sales and relationship management strategies to achieve budget growth.

Tim possess superior industry knowledge, fostering strategic conversations with clients and professionals. He has the ability to build a rapport, earning the trust of stakeholders whilst maintaining a positive flexible attitude.

John is an industry veteran that brings over 30 years of construction experience to the table. Having held roles of carpenter up to Construction Manager during his career, he brings a broad and varied understanding of the industry across all sectors including residential, industrial, commercial, health, education, retail, hotel, heritage, and hospitality. His trade qualification as a carpenter informs his approach, focussing his efforts on the way things fit together and efficient programming of work.

John’s passion for construction combined with his ability to create and maintain strong relationships within the industry has made him into an effective leader and communicator. His focus on teamwork brings the entire project team to the table and capitalises on every team members strengths to push the project forward. He has an unrelenting drive to achieve the highest standard of construction in all projects he is involved in and his commitment to quality is evident in the building he delivers. John’s ability to problem solve issues on site with all necessary stakeholders allows him to define and manage an achievable yet adventurous programmes for the benefit of our clients.

Lorne joined Lipman in 2022. He has been involved in workplace health and safety and environment for more than 19 years in the construction sector.

Quite simply, Lorne is passionate about safety and has been from the start of his HSE career in 2004.

Through the course of his career Lorne has been responsible for implementing the Principal Contractor work health and safety management systems, including identifying hazards, assessing risks to health and safety, and assisting in the implementation of appropriate engineered safety controls. He has provided training and advice on accident prevention and safety principles to management and employees, and subcontractors.

By providing leadership of the work health and safety function within the business, Lorne is able to ensure effective management and implementation of HSE in both projects and related workplaces as well as guidance on the overall business planning and delivery function.

Peter is an experienced and highly committed Construction Manager with strong leadership skills and precise attention to detail. He excels in overseeing the production and implementation of Management Plans, ensuring high-quality works are delivered successfully and on time.

With over 30 years of industry experience, Peter’s extensive knowledge makes him an invaluable asset to Lipman. His capability goes far beyond managing the construction through the Site Managers and Site Supervisors. Peter also provides advice on the design development and finalisation through the Design Team. He puts a strong focus on safety, value engineering, sustainability, WOL costs and buildability of every project.

Peter’s experience spans across all sectors of construction which encompass extensive experience in live environment delivery. He is well recognised for his integrity and strong interpersonal skills. He is the key point of contact for stakeholders’ engagement and client communication along with his ability to provide a collaborative relationship with design consultants.

Emma Joined the Lipman team in early 2022. Bringing with her more than 15 years of experience in People Management and 5 Years in Construction.

As an accomplished People leader, Emma is dedicated to building and maintaining a robust and engaged workforce and culture. She is committed to curating space, so every team member has a voice, ensuring the team is engaged, motivated, productive, and ultimately ensuring that the team enjoys coming to work.

Emma is a qualified Human Resource Professional and has a proven track record of establishing strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. She takes a whole-of-business approach and excels in collaborating with Business Leaders to identify and address workforce challenges and opportunities.

A true team player, Emma is a skilled communicator with a passion for mentoring and developing our employees to achieve their full potential.

Mathew joined Lipman in early 2024 and brings with him a deep connection to the Hunter region with a wide range of local experience, knowledge and relationships. An effective leader who guides his teams towards the common goal, setting a clear vision, communicating effectively, fostering collaboration, and leading by example.

Mathew has actively contributed to some of the state’s most significant construction projects throughout his career. With a strong foundation in cost management and buildability has proven instrumental in streamlining construction processes and enhancing project performance outcomes by collaborating closely with design teams and stakeholders. Mathew’s efficiency in identifying and resolving potential constructability challenges ensures risks are mitigated and project execution is a smooth process from conception to completion.

Drawing upon his expertise in cost management, Mathew has played a pivotal role in ensuring the financial viability and success of various projects, meticulously overseeing budgets, procurement processes, and financial forecasting.

His dedication to excellence, coupled with a strong commitment to delivering quality projects on time and within budget, Mathew will continue to lead the Region by seeking new opportunities leveraging his expertise to ensure the successful realisation of transformative construction projects in Newcastle, Hunter & the Central Coast.

Michael is a strategic, improvement-oriented leader who combines expertise in stakeholder management with an analytical skillset to drive business process efficiency and develop constructive organisational culture.

Michael’s experience in mining and construction is underpinned by post-graduate qualifications in business, project management and Lean Six Sigma.

Diego has an extensive history of implementation and monitoring of Information Technology Systems across a range of business units. This experience enables Diego to develop a thorough appreciation of each project’s unique requirements, working with the project teams to develop the best technology and communications infrastructure.

He has the ability to develop, plan, co-ordinate and deliver induction and training for large groups or individuals at all levels within the organisation.

Adam Towner joined the Lipman team in 2025 as General Manager of Strategy and New Business. With more than 30 years of experience, Adam has an impressive array of general management, senior management, and pre-contract management experience across various organisations in the industry.

Adam brings considerable depth of experience, connection and fresh thinking that will drive a greater level of strategic planning in pursuit of our goals for sustainable growth over the coming period and into the future. His introduction represents an important strengthening of the business leadership, as we continue to evolve our organisational structure to build resilience, consistency, profitability and the next chapter of success of the business.

Tim is an experienced construction professional with over 38 years experience, having held senior management roles in private and ASX listed companies.

Tim’s commitment, excellent team building skills and leadership qualities have been set up to ensure a collaborative platform is created for all key stakeholders to achieve excellent outcomes for the project. His leadership of teams is a major influence in the successful delivery of the projects he is involved with.
