Lipman was invited to contract on the 5-star, 318-room hotel at Mascot, with restaurant, bar, gymnasium and conferencing facilities. Lipman developed a reverse brief, developed the concept into detailed plans and delivered a D&C solution 6 weeks early on a live site involving managing public safety.

Constructing in a live airport precinct needed to be well managed to protect the safety of workers and the general public; and the client’s reputation. We had to build on the site boundary adjacent to the arrivals and departures road network, with pedestrian traffic immediately adjacent.

Our team was able to increase the client’s potential revenue stream by identifying opportunities for additional conferencing facilities, including a rooftop space. We also improved the room layouts to increase usability.

Our Construction Team also delivered a structure and load-bearing building envelope in record time. The time savings allowed the client early occupation. Costs savings from off-site façade glazing and applied finishes reduced the need for scaffolding and other costs for preliminaries.
