Overview
Mixed use development of residential and retail
St John’s is the site of an existing Presbyterian Church, with 2 Manses, all of which are heritage listed buildings. The site was converted into a mixed use development of residential and retail. On the rear elevation is a 5 storey building containing a basement parking facility and 7 new apartments. A kiosk and kiosk basement was constructed on the Oxford St Elevation. The existing church was divided into 2 sections; one being retail and the other being 2 x 3 storey town-homes. The stone façade and stained glass windows were restored to their former glory.
The Old Manse has previously been restored and had a verandah and annex added to it along with services; this building will ultimately become a retail outlet. The new Manse was refurbished and will remain a single 2 storey dwelling.
