Overview
Refurbishment of a ’70s building
Parramatta Courthouse project involved the complete upgrade and refurbishment of the existing Courthouse building that was constructed during the ‘70s, which included the installation of 4 new lifts, 4 new holding cells, upgrade to existing services, upgrade of the building fire systems to current day BCA standards and a new fit-out to 90% of the existing building.
Externally, the project involved the installation of a new structural steel roof over the existing concrete roof. The new roof was finished with a stainless steel feature capping to the perimeter and Alucobond cladding to the soffit of the eaves. Extensive repairs were also made to the existing precast concrete façade.
