Overview
Tailored community services
Funded by donations, the Mission Australia Centre in Coffs Harbour’s CBD is a central community hub offering tailored community services.
The Mission Australia Centre building project has been built on Duke Street at the same time as the charity’s 40 one-bedroom social home apartments next door. Both projects contribute to Mission Australia’s commitment to help end homelessness and ensure people in Coffs Harbour can thrive.
The Mission Australia social housing block provides 40 new dwellings for vulnerable residents in Coffs Harbour. Ground floor consists of 2 outdoor and indoor communal areas, car spaces and services rooms. Level 1 to Level 4 consists of 10 housing units and lift access to each floor, with one accessible unit per level.
The 2 storey office building houses services that Mission Australia provide to help the community not only by providing affordable housing but assisting disadvantaged families and children, addressing mental health issues, substance dependencies, employment skills and training and more. The office ensures that the Coffs community has a service for early intervention and prevention that is at the heart of Mission Australia’s work.
