Pottsville Beach Public School Hosting the Minister of Education

On Tuesday 13th June, the Pottsville Beach Public School project located on the beautiful Northern Rivers coastline welcomed some rather special dignitaries. Mr Rob Stokes the NSW Minister of Education, Local Member for Tweed Mr Geoff Provest and his fellow associates were also joined on the site tour by 3 very excited pupils from the school.
The school currently houses approximately 690 pupils, but with the ever growing population in this area, the new educational buildings will not only create additional learning facilities but will also be supplemented by new outdoor recreational area’s comprising of new landscaping and playground area’s for the pupils of the school.
Early works have already commenced on this exciting new development for Schools Infrastructure New South Wales, the new construction works will deliver 13 new homebase rooms, new library, new admin facilities including a lift and staff rooms.
The target date for completion is March 2019, with all project stakeholders involved preparing themselves in readiness for what will be recognised locally as a landmark building in this area.
