COMMITMENT TO FUTURE SUCCESS: PROJECT, CULTURE, COMPANY & COMMUNITY

POTTSVILLE BEACH PUBLIC SCHOOL
The last 2-3 weeks have seen significant progress on site works comprising the completion of the last section of suspended deck to Building M. Structural steel erection has now also commenced on site to the new Homebase rooms on Level 1.
Works to the external envelope of the building are likely to commence early October, the cladding comprises a mixture of Aluminium composite, Metal and CFC cladding materials (CFC is coated with an anti-graffiti seal).
CFC cladding materials are currently in transit from as far away as Germany, whilst the new soffit cladding is digitally imprinted with a woodgrain feature. The new lift in the Admin Building arrives in Australia towards the end of September.
The refurbishment works to Building A are expected to be fully complete by Mid-November, the new library will then remain locked and out of bounds until project completion in March 2019.
We also had a visit from nine Kingscliff High School Year 11/12 students, the morning began with an introduction, then the site safety induction, Q&A session and a tour of site. The purpose of this visit is to provide work experience to these students or even the possibility of an apprenticeship with one of our subcontractors on site.
The project team along with the key trades will be holding a project get together on the 21st September at Pottsville Beach Bowls Club, during this event we hope to raise further funds for Pottsville Beach Public School.
