Ballina High School Project – Pushing Structure
December 15, 2017
Ballina High School project is well underway with only 1 raft slab remaining to pour to get out of the ground and the first 2 of 7 Post Tensioned Decks to be completed prior to Christmas. The Super School consists of a three storey structure made up of administration, teaching spaces, trade spaces (commercial kitchens, construction, woodwork, Textiles and metalwork) and community engagement areas. The two storey structure to the side is a multipurpose building with 2 full size basketball courts, learning spaces and even a recording studio. Surrounding these two buildings is significant landscaped areas. Ballina High School is the prototype for the next generation of school the NSW DoE is rolling out across the state so its important we deliver a quality product for the community.
On the back of the early performance we are likely to be engaged to complete some refurbishment works to the existing Southern Cross School on the other side of town and will have the opportunity to tender and construct Ballina Council’s Community Sports Centre set to be located right on top of our current site office and be completed for the school’s reopening, first term 2019.
