Another win for our Bathurst Regional Office with the Award of the D&C contract for the new Griffith Ambulance Station

The Bathurst Regional Office is excited to announce they have been awarded the design and construct contract of the new Griffith NSW Ambulance Station for NSW Health Infrastructure.

The project is part of the State Government’s Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program that will focus on enhancing the quality and mobility of emergency medical care in the regional communities of NSW.

The team assisted Health/NSW Ambulance through the consulting, detail design and value engineering phase of the project in achieving the best possible functional outcome for cost effective business operations, and move forward now to the delivery of the the New Ambulance Building & Emergency response facility.

This facility is a new build on the corner of Wakaden and Crossing Streets next to the existing Rural Fire Brigade and will include the construction of new offices, administration spaces, medical store, training room, on site mechanical workshop, 8 vehicle spots, external hardstand area for staff & operationally help with vehicle movements around the building. The building will feature a metal clad roof supported by a steel portal frame structure with concrete pavements.

One of the key focuses for this project is to improve the efficiencies of their facility network. Within our design team and the master planning with existing ambulance buildings, we were able to achieve agreed outcomes for the end users in terms of their operation/functionality to use from day to day in conjunction with the Project Consultants, Northrop (Structural, Services), Tracy Lord Architecture, Blacket Maguire Goldsmith (PCA).

Project Team – Sydney Management Team, Paul Edwards, Andrew Middleton, Jamahl Zegzula, Terry Greedy, Tammy Neubeck and regional construction staff from our Central West Regional office will work together to deliver this quality facility.

The constructive ‘can-do’ approach of the Lipman Bathurst team and their collaboration with HI & NSW Ambulance during the tender period ensured this fantastic result. Good luck team!
